FO Friday: Maia Shawl

I actually finished this a couple of weeks ago but haven't had chance to post about it. Its turned out really nice. I added in an extra row in the middle to make it a little larger, unfortunately I then ran out of yarn on the last row so had to miss off the frilly edging and leave it straight :(

I did leave some of the edging on at the tips of the shawl but am debating whether to undo the row and put it all straight instead or leave it as is

Overall I'm really pleased with how its turned out.

Finished Objects Friday

Well I've had quite a good week for finishing things :) I've made a peg bag using this for inspiration. Its a great way to use up shirts that don't fit the boys.

I finished the wedding cake topper I was doing for a friend. It worked out really well and I'm sooo pleased with it. More Pics here

And I finally finished my Tunisian crochet blanket. It was made using the simple stitch and then cast off by this method. I used 7 balls of super chunky yarn and a size 8 hook for it.

Finished Objects Friday (Yey finally have something)

I actually have some things I can put on this week. Yey

I've finished my knitting needle roll for which I used the tutorial from the blog made by loulabelle. Its made with Alexander Henry bright on white cho cho butterflies fabric and a piece of dyed zara white (a babywrap) on a black background. The ribbon was some I found in the house. I had a little fun doing the edging with the ribbon as I have used bias binding when I made these before and the ribbon kept catching as I was sewing but I got there eventually.

I also finished one for my mum to match the project bag I made her for mothers day earlier this year.
